Corrugations Series

This body of work explores the interplay of geometry, pattern, and material through the use of cardboard as a painting surface. I incorporate the inherent lines and texture of the corrugation as an integral element of each composition, allowing the material’s physical structure to inform and interact with painted forms. Beginning with monoprinting, I build layers of pattern, color, and geometric shapes, balancing the spontaneity of the printing process with deliberate, painted elements. The cardboard’s utilitarian nature and inherent impermanence introduce a tension between the everyday and the intentional, transforming an overlooked material into a richly textured surface for painting.
