I work with contrasting hard and soft shapes and geometric patterns; each sharp and meticulous mark hovers on soft fields of color. Nothing is preplanned or sketched out; the process is very much stream of consciousness. Each piece is meant to transport the viewer to a hypnotic and unusual space. Working on thick watercolor paper I'm able to change the format of my canvas by cutting the surface into a circle instead of the traditional rectangle. I work on 300lb watercolor paper and acrylic paint.Current and Upcoming ExhibitsINTERSECT Solo Exhibit by Vanessa Irzyk
